Kenzi Bowekaty is from Zuni and joined the ZYEP team in February of 2019 as one of ZYEP’s first Nutrition/Agriculture Interns. Kenzi comes from a family of Zuni farmers, and is currently working towards a degree in child development. After completing her internship in 2020, Kenzi rejoined ZYEP as a Food Sovereignty Leader in 2021, and now assists in creating and implementing in-school, after-school, and community agriculture education. Kenzi brings a strong passion for sharing her knowledge and experience as a guide to Zuni’s new generations to maintain Zuni culture, language, and a positive environment.
